What is Pulcinella ?
It is a Neopolitan mask originating in Campania whose physical aspect makes it look like a cockerel. The nose has the form of a beak which ancients called "pullus gallinaceus". It is thought the entymology of the word derives from the word"pullicinello" that is pulcino or chick. Like Harlequin, punch is a stupid servant who sometimes takes a contradictory personality. He can be both stupid and astute, bold and cowardly and has an extremely lively expressiveness typical of the Neoplolitans. The restaraurant was previously "Mustang Sally's" but has gone through extensive rennovations to create the right decor and atmosphere.The interior has been modernised and the restaurant will soon feature an alfresco dining area for those perfect summer evenings.
